What makes it so special??

Create course content on Workplace

The very first step in the course creation would be making a content repository.

  • All the course content is stored in Workplace itself. The learning admins (special admins who are assigned by bot super admins; only they have the authority to create courses via the LMS bot)
  • Learning admins can create a learning group in Workplace where they can add all their course content(text, videos, images or any Workplace supported format) as posts.
  • These posts can be added to various modules in order to make the course more comprehe

Create and Set up course

Learning admins are sent an invitation ping to Setup course or View Analytics. Admins can click the Setup Course button and they would be redirected to Huminos.

Or you can also visit LMS bot dashboard on Huminos, click on Manage Course and then click on Create New Course.

Both the aforementioned ways would lead you to a page wherein you can add course details and other information in sequence.

Add Course details

The first step for content creation is entering the course details which include -

  • Course Type - Choose the type of course (Self Learning, Nano Learning or Instructor-Led / Virtual or Physical)
  • Assessment Type - You can choose to take the assessments at the -
    • End of the course - One final assessment at the end of the course
    • End of every module - Assessments at the end of every module
    • End of both - Assessments at the end of every module and one final assessment at the end of the course
  • Course Title - Title of the course
  • Course Description - A short description of the course created
  • Competency - Competencies are skills, knowledge, and abilities required to perform effectively at a position held in a certain industry or field. This field allows course creators to choose the competency they wish their learner to target. The trainers can either choose from the existing competencies or create their own.
  • Level - You can choose a level of the course, i.e. either it is for
    • Beginners - For users, with very little or no prior knowledge of the course content
    • Intermediate - For users, with a basic to medium level knowledge of the course content
    • Advanced - For users, who already have more than intermediate knowledge of the course content
  • Start Date and End Date - To decide the timeline of the course, i.e., indicates when the course started and when it would end. However, you can launch the course whenever you want by clicking on the Launch button in the chat window or website(appears when you complete the course creation).

Create new modules - More comprehensive courses!

Next step would be to add modules.

Modules enhance the structure of a course and also save the learners from being overwhelmed with a lot of data in one go.

Add the name of the module and a short description suggesting its purpose.

Post Mapping with Module

All the created posts in the course learning group come with their previews in the right-hand side of the screen.

You can drag and drop the post previews to any of the created modules and hence define the content for all modules.

Add Assesments!

After successful module creation, you can add an assessment for that module. Also, you can choose to take the assessment only after the completion of the entire course. Admins have the option to add the following types of questions to the assessments -.

  • Yes/No
  • True/False
  • Guess the word
  • Single correct answer
  • More than one correct answer
  • Agree/Disagree
  • Identify the picture
  • Free text questions

Ask learners for feedback on the course!

LMS bot provides you an option to collect course-related feedback from the learners. You can choose to enable the default feedback questionnaire provided by us or customise your own.

Add badges, certification, and more with results!

Why not reward your achievers with something more? You can add certificates or badges(You can choose any video, image or pdf file (supported formats - .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .mp4, .avi, and .gif) with size less than 20 MB) and make the learning experience all the more rewarding.

Invite learners

You can add learners to your course either by -

  • entering the name of the Workplace group (all the members of the group would be invited to take the course)
  • Or by uploading an excel file with the users’ information
Invite learners

Launch Course

When you have completed creating the course, you can choose to launch the course from chat or web explicitly,i.e., Course would then become ‘live’ for the learners to access. In case the entered start date is of a later date then you would get a warning stating the same. If you proceed anyway, the start date of the course would be changed to the current date. However, the end date would remain the same.

Assign Learning admins to facilitate course creation!

Learning Admins are the overseers of all the courses running in the organization. Learning admins can create and manage a course and view its analytics. They will assign trainers and trainees to their created courses. Also, they can view analytics and content of all the courses.

You can add new Learning admins by clicking on User roles tab on the LMS webdashboard. You can then provide the email address and name of the admins you wish to add.

Choose your course type

While creating a course and adding details, you can specify the course to be of one of the given categories

  • Self Learning These are open courses, and any employee of the organization can benefit from them. Many courses carry significance across all or more than one department or target group, for, e.g., A beginner's guide to Excel or sheets, Professional communication course, etc. Therefore, learners can enrol for these special Self Learning courses on their own, and there is no need to be explicitly assigned to these courses by the Learning Admin.

Admins can choose a course to be of type Self Learning by making the required choice in the Course Type while course creation.

To view the courses available for Self Learning -
    • Click on the persistent menu and choose Available Courses
    • It will show you a list of the courses available for you to enroll
    • Click on enrol to enrol for your chosen course.

Admins can categorise the course as Nano Learning if she/he intends a quick course completion. Examples of such courses can be - Security compliance courses, work-ethic guide, etc.
  • Instructor-Led / Virtual or Physical Instructors regularly oversee the course progress and remind the learners regarding progress.
